The RV Halo app provides a convenient way to keep your Winegard connectivity devices up-to-date with the latest software. This guide will walk you through the steps of updating your device's software using the app.

Prerequisites:

• You have a compatible Winegard connectivity device (Gateway, Gateway Pro, Gateway 5G, or ConnecT 2.0+) added to the RV Halo app.
• Your device is powered on and connected to the internet.
• You have the latest version of the RV Halo app installed on your smartphone or tablet.

Steps:

1. Open the RV Halo app.
2. Tap on the connected device from the device list.
3. Check for Updates:
   • If an update is available, you'll see an "Update Available" message at the top of the screen.
4. Initiate Update:
   • Tap the "Update Available" message.
   • Tap "Update Device."
5. Ensure Internet Connection:
   • The app will verify your system is connected to the internet before proceeding.
6. Download and Install:
   • The update will download. Download time will vary based on your internet connection speed.
   • When prompted to verify the software, tap "Proceed."
   • The system will reboot to install the new software. This process may take about 5 minutes.
7. Reconnect:
   • You will be disconnected from the Winegard wireless network during the reboot.
   • Once the system finishes rebooting, ensure you are reconnected to the Winegard wireless network.
8. Verify Update:
   • Tap the back arrow in the upper left corner.
   • You can verify the currently installed software version by scrolling down to the "Manufacturing" section on the device screen in the app.  

Additional Notes:

• Multiple Updates: Multiple updates may be necessary to bring the device software to the most current version.
• Check Online: You can also check the current software versions online at Winegard's customer help center under the "Wi-Fi & Cellular" category.
